This article will explain the new security options that are available to your agency to use.
With the updates and upgrades that we have been rolling out for VSTracking, we have also included some additional security options for your agency to choose.
Those security options will allow your agency to become more CJIS compliant with regard to the VSTracking software.
You can find the new security options in the Admin screen in the tab labelled Additional Settings. (scroll down to view the Security Options)
The first Security Option allows you to enforce a 90-day Password Expiration Policy. Every 90 days the users will be required to change their password.
The second Security Options allows you to enforce a Last 10 Password Restriction. The users would not be able to use any of the last 10 passwords they have used when changing their passwords.
To enable either, or both, of these Security Options, click on the white button to the left of the Security Option. The white button will move to the right and change color to orange.
These Security Options can be enabled and disabled at any time by an Administrator on the account.
There are no additional fees for using these Security Options.
