This article will describe the processes for updating VSTracking whether it be bug fixes or adding new features.
VSTracking was born, and has grown into its current version 6, from the needs and suggestions of Victim Advocates all across the country. Advocates have made suggestions of new, helpful features that would make tracking the necessary information for the various grants funding their programs possible.
Each and every suggestion or requested feature is carefully considered by our Technical Team and added to the Roadmap for future releases. Some of the considerations for implementing the requested features, and when they will be implemented, include: the impact on the user experience, how many Advocates have suggested or requested the feature, level of difficulty of programming or coding, necessity or need (is it a new reporting requirement needed immediately), as well as many other factors.
A recent update that has been completed will allow a more automated, streamlined process for receiving updates. When we are ready to release an update to the software, a notification box will pop up on the screen of all users who are logged into the software.

The user will need to click on the "OK" button in the bottom right corner of the message and will have 15 minutes to save any data they have entered.
The update will begin, automatically, 15 minutes after the notice is displayed.
After the update is installed, a new notification will display for all logged in users with another reminder to save the data the user has been working on.

We sincerely appreciate all the suggestions and requested features. We believe if it will help you, it very well may be helpful to others and the better we make the software for our clients, the better our clients will be for their clients.
