How do I submit a Bug Report?

If you experience any issues with your software, we want to know so we can get you running smoothly as fast as possible. This article will detail the steps of submitting a bug report.

  1. To start the process of submitting your bug report, click "Feedback" on the top blue bar. This will open the Feedback screen.
  2. On the feedback screen, You will have one option. A dropdown field labeled "Feedback Type" will be displayed and you can click it to open a list of options. Choose the first option, "Bug Report" by clicking on it. This will display more fields on the screen for entering the details of your bug report (shown below).

Entering a Bug Report

Once you have selected "Bug Report" as the type of feedback you will be providing, you will be shown a series of questions that will give us more detail about the bug you are experiencing.

  1. Start by entering a descriptive title for your bug report that tells us your issue.  Example: "Unable to add a new client"
  2. Next, in the field labeled "page/screen", enter the page you are experiencing the bug on. Please enter the URL of the page you were on.                                                                        Example: https://agencyservicestracking.com/new/victim
  3. In the field labeled "expectation", you can enter what you believe should have been shown or what should have happened normally.  Example: "I expected the client information to be saved when I clicked the 'Save' button."
  4. The next field labeled "actual result", is provided so you can give a detailed description of the bug. Give as much detail as possible explaining the differences between your expected result and the actual result.  Example: "When I clicked save, the client information was not saved and the information I entered was cleared."
  5. Next, you will see a field labeled "steps to reproduce". In this field, please provide the steps you took to get to the point where you encountered the bug. Please be as detailed as possible so we can diagnose the issue as quickly as possible.  Example: "First I clicked on "Add New" on the top blue bar. Next, I chose 'Client' from the dropdown. I then entered all of the client information and clicked the 'Save/Continue' button at the bottom of the screen."
  6. You are able to upload a screenshot to visually show the bug you are experiencing by clicking the yellow button labeled "Upload Screenshot".   7. Next, enter your contact information so we can contact you if needed. First, you will enter your phone number in the field labeled "Phone Number".  Example: (555) 555-1234
  8. Next, enter your email in the field labeled "Email".  Example: test@emailprovider.com
  9. Once all information has been entered, submit your report by clicking the blue button labeled "Submit Feedback". This will send your bug report to us and we can get started on getting you back up and running smoothly.
